1. Who We Are
Refurb Online is the responsible party under POPIA for personal information collected through refurbonline.co.za.
2. What We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, company name, VAT number and delivery address. We also collect limited technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) automatically for security and to operate the store.
3. Payments
Card and EFT payments are processed by Paystack. Your card details are entered on Paystack's secure page and are never transmitted to or stored by Refurb Online. Paystack's own privacy policy applies to that data. We receive only the payment outcome and a payment reference.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process and deliver orders, respond to enquiries, send order and warranty emails, and improve our service. We share delivery details with our courier and our payment provider only as needed to fulfil your order. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
5. POPIA Compliance
We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). We collect only what we need, keep it only as long as required for orders, warranty and tax records, and protect it with reasonable technical and organisational measures. You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to object to processing.
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss or disclosure, including HTTPS across the site and restricted access to order data.
7. Cookies
We use only essential browser storage to operate the store (your cart and checkout form). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
